WED BAG ♥ LANVIN'S GETTING HAPPY

Thank God that Farfetch.com can shoot a bag with a really amazing outfit. The outfits I see on other sites are HORRENDOUS. THIS is doable, wearable, hot.
I adore the style and size of the LANVIN "HAPPY" BAG. I also love the name. Especially today. I did finish a lot of things I've been working on for the novel, but it still wasn't that great of a day yesterday. So I was super happy to see this bag and thought it might be a good way to start off this day. I think I love it so much because it reminds me of my favorite vintage Valentino, which I show on this post. It's around the same size, it has the same-ish chevron stitching...almost the same chain strap. This bag is really gorgeous and you could use it until you were a grandma and then your daughters and grand-daughters (or sons) could also use it and it will never go out of style. I only wish they didn't do that silly ribbon thing. I think that makes it look cheap and I have no idea why Alber thinks that ribbon thing should be a staple of Lanvin. The bag sells on Farfetch.com for under $2000. You could buy a used car or you could buy yourself this bag...hmmmm.♡

TUES TAILOR ♥ NEW CDG EAU DE PARFUM

Just in time for the holiday, Rei Kawakubo has unveiled a new fragrance, Comme des Garçons Eau de Parfum...in the strangest melty bottle that reminds me a lot of Dali. The bottle, apparently, is a copy of a rejected bottle. Something that was deemed unacceptable is now given the spotlight and revered for the beauty of its imperfections. Which I love. The scent is even more strange: Aldehydes, Safraleine, Hawthorns, Lilac Flower oxides, Industrial glue, Brown scotch tape, Musk, Styrax...say what? There will be some new films coming out that were made to promote this fragrance. Can't wait to see them. I'm sure they'll be amazing. This is another item you could buy for someone incredibly snobby and hard to buy for. It's really like a piece of art...with a smell to it. :) Available through Dover Street Market.

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ ILLAMASQUA XMAS

I continue to be thoroughly impressed by the impeccable branding of ILLAMASQUA. It's the new kid on the block and it's clearly going to take over. I think when MAC started blowing up (I have no idea when they first landed, but I do remember how huge MAC was in the 90s), they had sort of the same bad-boy image...the same fresh, new outlook on make up as Illamasqua does now. But MAC seems so passé now...even though they do have good product and a great selection of colors. I think their packaging is still very....90s....as is its branding. This video for the Illamasqua Freak Masquerade Ball (during Halloween in London) is also a great look at what their mission is. The brand is only three years old! They also show (at the end) the launch of counters in a couple of department stores (going to be a mad house once it goes to New York). I don't own anything from them yet as I would want to go to a counter and be assisted by one of their makeup freaks. I can't wait to check them out.♡

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ HARAJUKU LOVERS

Admittedly, I'm not nor have I ever been a Gwen Stefani fan or follower. I'm not hater, but I would never buy anything from L.A.M.B. or anything else that she does/has done/has produced (though I think she's a genius business lady). BUT BUT BUT....recently...I saw the Harajuku Lovers perfumes in person and was really surprised at how cute they are. Admittedly, again, I am a big collector or used to be anyway of kitsch. And one of the things I love and can never figure out why they don't come back with fun things like this is the old/vintage Avon products that looked like little dollies and cakes and things but had fragrance and makeup inside. They're designed amazingly. And if you are a kid at heart like me, then you love them, too. Or maybe you just love the 60s and 70s as I do. I prefer them to a lot of the new things I see. These Harajuku Lovers were so cute with cute faces and flocked hair. I was curious about them because apparently one of them has the greatest coconut scent or something. (I still don't know which one it is.) And I think they could make a really good gift for some people or some young girls. And for Christmas, they've introduced some limited edition versions...one being the HARAJUKU LOVERS JINGLE G...which is so so cute. And would look so adorable hanging on your Christmas tree! I think there are some other things for Christmas, too...I'll include photos of the most amazing HARAJUKU LOVERS WICKED STYLE GIFT SET that comes in the most amazing case for only $100! I just hope they come out with some Harajuku Lovers lip balms in cute packaging. And I think the Jingle G is only $25.

HARAJUKU LOVERS JINGLE G! YOU CAN HANG THE PACKAGE ON THE LEFT ON YOUR TREE.

THIS IS THE HARAJUKU LOVERS WICKED STYLE GIFT SET...
THIS IS THE CASE WHEN IT'S OPEN..WHICH REVEALS ALL THE FRAGRANCES IN THE SET. SO AMAZING.
THE BACK OF THE CASE.
THESE ARE THE FRAGRANCES YOU GET IN THE LIMITED EDITION SET.
THERE'S EVEN ITTY BITTY HARAJUKU LOVERS NAIL FILES (ONLY $4) AND TWEEZERMAN HARAJUKU LOVERS TWEEZERS!

These are the things I always want to create (recreate) that no one ever does anymore...but Gwen did. And she's making millions off of them! And she's got me wanting to buy her stuff now, which is totally unreal. I never thought....♡

SAT SHOPPING ♥ GIFTS FOR COOL GIRLS

(OR BOYS)....I'm sorry this post is so late today. We have a lot going on over here and it's been pretty hectic. But here I am with a holiday shopping post on what to get the girl (or boy) who is posh and picky. You will have seen posts on some of these before...but I have to include them here, too, if it will help or direct you to the right shop/gift......

1. THE ELEMIS X TEMPERLEY TRAVEL BAG
I posted something on this bag a while ago. It's not cheap...but it's a steal if you add the total cost of the products inside because they are ex-pen-sive. So it's like you're getting some product PLUS the amazing bag for free. $135 at feelunique.com

2. One or two (or more if you can handle it) from THE NEW TOM FORD MAKEUP RANGE
Yes, I've posted loads on this before, too. But one eyeshadow palette or one lipstick alone or a product AND  a makeup brush would be the most amazing gift like ev-er. My suggestion would be to get the eyeshadow quad in Cognac Sable.

TOM FORD QUAD IN COGNAC SABLE

3. Crazy SUNGLASSES BY KAREN WALKER
Okay...the ones I love love are sold out. But to wear the below sunglasses you either have to be way out there or way out there hot and cool. Or be way out there because you feel way hot and cool. In any case, a cute girl with a pair of arresting in-the-know Karen Walker shades is hot.

KAREN WALKER VA VA SUNGLASSES

KAREN WALKER BETTY SUNGLASSES

The one with the tiny lips...not the one with the gigantic lips across the boobs. $330

5. CUTE PANTIES FROM FOREVER21.COM
This is one of the best places to buy underwear because, in addition to the regular variety of teenybopper styles, they sell some really gorgeous, very sexy, very chic panties, too. And, they're cheap! Some of them are 3 for $9!

little velvet hearts mesh panty
i have these and they look really expensive.
i love panties that look old fashioned.

6. HOLIDAY RED LIPSTICK BY DIOR...if you can find it.
I have no idea why they discontinued this color. It used to be as big as Mac's Russian Red. Except Holiday Red was more of a blue red. I had both of them when I was a teen. You might be able to find it on EBay or something. But if you give the cool girl in your life this hard-to-find amazing red lipstick...she'll be the only one who has it.

FRIDAY FANCY ♥ ELEY KISHIMOTO COZINESS

WHAT am I fancying right now? Well, it's a bit chilly. I'm tired. I ate a LOT last night (mostly heavy carbs and sweets), so I feel heavy and lazy. I have been dealing with the family as we all do during holiday festivities which is and can be grueling and draining. So all I'm craving is watching some films online whilst lying in bed and drinking hot sweet tea with a lot of cream/milk (in Persian, that's called Sheer-Chai...pronounced like sheer-choy-ee) and I'm wearing my favorite Eley Kishimoto thick socks. They're so warm and still stylee even though I've got a mask on my face (Dermalogica's Skin Refining masque...methinks. It's the one Lisa Eldridge suggested...the one with the lactic acids in it to clean out your pours) and a cashmere band pulling my hair back off my face. Here are some things I would love to be wearing right now...from Eley Kishimoto's current collection (available for purchase and/or gifts for others or yourself) that would be great to lounge around in or even wear if you decide to get your ass out of bed and meet friends for a drink. Which I also love to do.♡

THE ELEY KISHIMOTO BAT SHOULDER JUMPER/SWEATER...I LOVE THIS SWEATER SO MUCH. IT'S AMAZING. IT'S LAMBSWOOL AND AROUND 120£.

THESE EK BAT STAR SOCKS. THEY'RE NYLON...SO NOT WARM, BUT STILL WOULD BE AWESOME TO LOUNGE AROUND IN. ESP IF YOU'RE ONLY WEARING A T-SHIRT AND YOUR KNEES FEEL COLD. OR YOU COULD WEAR THE SWEATER ABOVE, SOME PANTIES AND THESE SOCKS. 40£
THIS EK BOUCLE KNIT COAT. 415£
THESE ATTIC FANTASTIC WOOL-Y SOCKS 40£

THIS LAMBSWOOL STRIPED CARDIGAN 220£
THESE LEGGINGS WHICH ARE NOW ON SALE FOR 55£
OLD JUMPER WOOL BOOTIES ON SALE FOR 115£ (HOW CUTE TO WEAR THESE ON A LAZY DAY WHEN YOU RUN OUT TO GET COFFEE)

AND HERE'S THE MASK I HAVE ON MY FACE RIGHT NOW. ;)

THURS SHOW ♥ HAPPY THXGIVING DAY

It's Thanksgiving today...a holiday everywhere (except a lot of the shops are actually open tonight for early shoppers...or obsessive shoppers). What do I do on Thanksgiving if I'm not with friends? Normally I watch a lot of amazing old movies, mostly holiday related, and eat my favorite things like homemade mashed potatoes. My favorite Thanksgivings, though, have always been the ones I spent in New York...we call those Orphan Dinners because they are open to all friends who didn't fly home.

I also love to get dressed up on Thanksgiving (once when I was a teenager, I wore a pair of long dangly Moschino earrings with giant gold hearts at the bottom). So I thought it would be fit to have a little photo post with a party girl all dressed up.

If you're not in the States, do have a lovely day and if you are in the States, wishing you a happy holiday. xxx And thanks to all of my readers...I am so grateful to you.♡

WED BAG ♥ MARC JACOBS POLKA DOTS

I don't know if they're actually producing or produced the polka dot clutch that was in the collection currently selling because I cannot find it anywhere. BUT...you can go and buy the amazing polka dot berets (I love the fuzzy one) as well as the polka dot patent leather gloves! Which are amazing. These are a few of my favorite things. And I think it's so so amazing that they can think they up and make them for us to buy. Sigh. They're both available at marcjacobs.com.♡

it's so interesting that such a small thing could make some of us so giddy. :)
when will you ever find these again. such a nice touch on a freezing day to a plain all-black outfit. !

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ METAL MAKEUP

Since it's getting closer and closer to the soft launch of my novel (!!!), I will be sneaking in little things here and there to sort of tease the book. Here is one of the first, (though I think the official first was the Rocker Girl shoe post and the second was the Ace Frehley Halloween post)...Here is another. I love the simplicity of the face here. I love the darkness of the vibe and I do love the clothes and hair. It's def, for me, a Metal thing.♡
